Still Talk take a step back in time with the Johnnie Walker & Sons Celebratory Blend "The blend’s unique strength is similar to that of our Old Highland Whisky sold during that era. John Walker & Sons Celebratory Blend is a sensorial journey featuring notes of sweet dried raisins and subtle spice, which develop into hints of roasted nuts and gentle peat, with a soft pepper finish. Best served neat or on the rocks." https://www.johnniewalker.com/en-gb/our-whisky/limited-editions/johnnie-walker-sons-celebratory-blend-200th-anniversary/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/stilltalk https://stilltalk.net/

No idea how we got onto this, but it's got absolutely nothing to do with booze or Land Rovers. Go figure.
As Still Talk's Dave and Neil attempt to broaden their horizons we have a wee taste of some products from across the pond (originally, some made and bottled in the UK). Neil's Southern Comfort brings back memories from times long gone and our guests add their own twist to the mix. Whilst Dave's Jim Beam Red Stag brings back those visits to the sweety shop (candy store).
Still Talks Dave and Neil try Haig Clubman, given the seal of approval by David Beckham. It might be Jazmyn's favourite tipple but what do Still Talk think of this young persons whisky?
A wee while ago during one of our chats Dave raised the question "I wonder if we can fire up the steam engine on whisky?" Well, now is the time to find out if Ardbeg whisky fires yer engine! Has it got the fire in it's belly to do it or not? Lets have a go and see what happens. Has anybody else tried this before? Let us know if you have. Its whisky on the rocks but not as we know it! It's summertime and it's well below freezing! It makes the perfect gift for whisky lovers looking for a smooth, deliciously enjoyable single malt. https://www.facebook.com/groups/stilltalkStilltalk.net Dalwhinnie Distillery - Winter's Gold https://www.malts.com/en-row/products/single-malt-whisky/dalwhinnie-winters-gold-single-malt-scotch-whisky-70cl
Still Talk 15 - Tequila! We have a go at some tequila slammers. Whose idea was this? We also return to reflect on the Deanston 15 year Tequila Cask Finish whisky
Still Talk 14 Deanston 15year Tequila Cask Finish Whisky Dave, Steph and Neil try out Deanston's expirimental Tequila Cask Finshed 15 year old whisky. What a punch it has! Once accustomed to this feisty number it is quite a palatable bottle of whisky and well worthy of a space on that shelf of peculiarities. Link below to this wonderous Mexican marvel. https://deanstonmalt.com/products/deanston-tequila-cask-finish
Still Talk 13 - Raasay What a story this distillery has and what the distillery has done for the Isle of Raasay is something to applauded. We taste one of Raasay's single malts. Whether you're a seasoned whisky aficionado, a curious newcomer or just like sitting in on a bit of a blether, this video promises to be a delightful blend of vague analysis, curious exchanges, and perhaps even a few unexpected surprises. So grab your favourite glass, settle in, and let Dave and Neil whisk you away into a world of whisky wonderment like no other!" Still Talk's Dave & Neil have a few wee drams from a very special bottle of whisky, even more special if Land Rovers are your thing. It's just a shame we didn't manage to get to Islay to film this! Still Talk do not receive any reward or payment for these videos, we just like making them and drinking whisky!
Fact check - Farm is not actually called Kilchoman it's Rockside Farm.
Quote below from Kilchoman website https://www.kilchomandistillery.com/distillery-news/islay-edition-land-rover/“Land Rovers are synonymous with my childhood, I have fond memories of driving around the island in all sorts of Land Rover prototypes and it’s great that Land Rover still recognise those links, both to my grandfather and to the Island of Islay. PX sherry matured Kilchoman was the perfect choice for this bottling, there’s nothing better on a wet Islay day then a dram of PX matured Kilchoman at 51.4% abv” Kathy Wills, Kilchoman Co-Founder. Still Talk do not receive any reward or payment for these videos, we just like making them and drinking whisky!
Still Talk's Dave introduces Neil to the true art of dowsing. This well known mystical act of divination called dowsing gets explored here. You can call it dowsing, divining, divination, doodlebugging, water witching. Using dowsing rods we see if we can find anything. Neil had never tried this properly and here we see the results, despite the guidance given by Dave, Neil can categorically say that it works. Watch the video, make up your own minds and add comments please. You can see Dave and Steph recent visit to the Blue Pool here https://youtu.be/seJIBkv9sfY

Still Talk Dave & Neil happen to have a bottle of GlenAllachie 7 year old whisky. We give this a wee taste and let you know our thoughts on whether to add water to this dram.
A couple of tarts make their first appearance too. https://theglenallachie.com/whisky/the-glenallachie-7-year-old-hungarian-virgin-oak/
THE GLENALLACHIE 7YO HUNGARIAN VIRGIN OAK From Batch 3 of their Virgin Oak Series, they are proud to present an innovative single malt which enjoyed secondary aging in Hungarian oak. Master Distiller Billy Walker’s search for the unusual led him to the mountains of northeast Hungary to the Zemplén forest. Its rocky volcanic soil, along with its colder climate and higher altitude, means that the trees in this region grow very slowly, giving the oak a tight grain – a desirable trait for aging spirit. Keen to experiment with this rare oak, the barrels were toasted and charred to a medium level before hosting our complex spirit. One of the world’s first single malts finished in Hungarian virgin oak (Quercus Petraea), expect an aromatic, well-balanced and wonderfully unique whisky delivering silky smooth richness. Bottled at 48%, natural colour and non chill filtered. TASTING NOTES COLOUR Golden. NOSE Bursting with butterscotch, citrus and milk chocolate, with cinnamon, raisins, orchard fruits and ginger. TASTE Lashings of heather honey and cinnamon, followed by chocolate, lemon drops and caramelised brown sugar.
Still Talk have received no reward or payment for this video.
Still Talk are forever trying to broaden our horizons whilst maintaining some sense of decorum. We are failing miserably and even when it comes to household items we often get swayed by the promise of a wee dram or in this case a whiff of whisky. Still Talk - the cleanest and best smelling Youtube chanel :) This video is not sponsored, we just like supporting local business when we can.
